Michael Thorne | Founder and President
Michael Thorne founded Just Junk on September 1, 2003 and has remained active in his role as President and C.E.O. Mr. Thorne is a visionary, whose innovative approach to the junk removal business has been recognized through a number of entrepreneurship awards. Prior to forming Just Junk, Mr. Thorne held a management position for one of Canada’s largest corporations overseeing control centre operations in Toronto. Thorne holds an Economics degree from Queens University in Kingston, Ontario.
John Netherway | Chief Operations Officer
John Netherway joined Just Junk in spring 2005 as the companies Chief Operating Officer. Having worked both in customer relations and internal business operations, Mr. Netherway knows the Just Junk system thoroughly. Before Just Junk, Mr. Netherway worked for three years at the law offices of Heelis, Williams, Little & Almas, in St. Catharines, Ontario, where he honed his interests in real-estate, corporate, and employment law. Mr. Netherway studied English at the University of Toronto and Brock University.
Richard F. Dixon | Director U.S. Franchise Development
As Director of U.S. Franchise Development, Rick will oversee the day to day corporate sales and marketing efforts of the company in the United States. In addition, he will continue to establish marketing partnerships and alliances relevant to the continuing regional and national growth and expansion of this burgeoning business segment. Mr. Dixon has an extensive professional background at the executive and management levels of both consumer and b2b marketing and corporate development in New York, Atlanta, Virginia Beach and Tampa Bay. In addition to working with Fortune 500 and 100 companies such as Reynolds Metals, Union Camp, Tenneco & Weyerhaeuser, to founding his own INC 500 company, Rick brings both experience and an additional dimension to the corporate business model and foundation of Just Junk. Rick has served on various boards of directors for non-profit, professional, business & cultural organizations and has received numerous awards and recognition, both professional, personal and for community involvement.
