This is a rare MLB rookie card. Mark McGwire, who broke the single-season home run record for a rookie in 1987 with 49 home runs, stands as one of the greats in MLB history. In 1998 he broke the home run record with 70, which would later be broken by Barry Bonds. After retirement, McGwire admitted to using steroids throughout his career.
